1971, I met Elaine… and we walked down here like!

and it only seems like yesturday, yesturday is all it feels like!

The day i left school..1966..July.It only seems a couple of days ago

I remember when I walked out thinking “im never going to go back to that school again”

life is short, so beleive me it is very very short and it soon goes!

Your young and then one minute your an old man…it goes, dead quick!

when I look at the videos of me you and steph and your mom, when we were together. It only seems like yesturday to me. But it was 20 years ago…some of them!

its scary, it really is scary how quick this life goes and you have to make the most of it!

youve gotto be happy, you havnt got to let things get you down

because when you look back you think “if I only I didnt let that get me down at that point , id have been really happy”

well i suppose its all a learning curve and you cant put an old head on young shoulders!

and youve gotto learn, youve gotto get old! and its only when you get old you realise I wish I was young again and know what I know now

but you have really got to live your life before you can say things like that , so its no good me telling you

one day you will wake up and realise that, you will say to your self “aint this life gone quick, my dad was right”

I remember my dad saying to me “it dont seem 2 minutes since I used to go and watch films at the odeon (cinema) in Bilston and I used to pay apney (dunno how to spell it)…

I used to think “APNEY?…I pay thre’pence”

now if I tell you “thre’pence” you would think “TRE’PENCE?”

so you know its all relative to the era you come from, but one thing thats constant

and that it time goes quick, it dont go quick day to day, but when you look back on it, it goes really quick!

it flies and this is your time now, its yours ans stephs (sister) time

to enjoy it and live your life

dont let nothing get you down, theres nothing worth getting you down

you have to adopt the attitute that this is my time now, this is my life, nobody is going to hurt me and its people like that, that are successfull!

if you go off in a depression and you cant sort of evolve and let your self go and naturally carry on with life .. bend like the bamboo (where has i heard that before) then your gonna snap

Look at this flat here (apartment) where me and your mom lived in…you know when you said your happiest time of your life was at college?

well my happiest time was I lived there with your mom, because it was great, it really was a happy, happy time

we all have our little moments in life when we think “we were happy there”

and what you have to do is make the happy times the longest times….if you can!!
